Service

Eilbeck Cranes’ Australia-wide service and maintenance team is committed to ensuring the cranes under its care perform over the long haul. With access to parts for all cranes, the team is responsible for maintaining more than 2000 cranes of various brands.

While some clients opt for service and inspections in accordance with statutory requirements only, others plug into Eilbeck Cranes’ comprehensive maintenance expertise to minimise downtime. Regular preventative maintenance allows problems to be addressed in advance, with downtime planned rather than equipment failing during peak production periods.

As a result of us being the leading manufacturer of cranes in Australia it gives our technicians the added advantage of seeing the crane being built from the ground up and an insight into the electrical and mechanical operation of the crane. Our technicians are proficient and have extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of "Eilbeck" branded cranes as well as all other major crane manufactures.

Availability & cost tracking reports

Eilbeck Cranes’ availability and cost tracking reports – such as the graphs shown – can provide an invaluable management tool, helping identify where to invest in order to increase productivity and lower costs.

To reduce operator error and improve safety, Eilbeck Cranes offers on – location certificated training for crane operators. The course includes theoretical and practical components and runs for 4 – 6 hours.

For clients who want to lift more or move faster with their existing cranes – or are experiencing other operational limitations – Eilbeck provides a modernisation service, installing the latest technology on all makes of cranes.

Statutory Inspections & 10 Year Major Inspections

The mechanical components of any crane have a 10 year design life. Mechanical components are generally moving parts like gearboxes, sheaves, rope drums and braking systems. Structural items such as beams and bolts have a 25 year design life.

Workplace Health & Safety Legislation and AS1418 & AS2550 specify that mandatory 10 year major inspections are required on mechanical components and at 25 years for structural components.

Eilbeck Cranes have an expert team of engineers & technicians dedicated to the major inspection and overhaul process. Our team works with your staff to customise the major inspection process ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and a further 10 years of safe and reliable crane life.

For ABUS cranes our experience has found the best and most efficient method to undertake the 10 year overhaul is via the ABUS 10 Year Kit. ABUS has developed the 10 year overhaul kit to ensure the key wearing components are replaced and supplied new from the original crane manufacturer. This ensures minimal down time and a guaranteed 10 year further life

Quality and safety

The business principle underpinning the commercial decisions made at Eilbeck Cranes which in return has made possible our successful longevity- is our belief and commitment to Quality and Safety in all that we do.

Eilbeck Cranes holds accreditation to International Quality Standards ISO 9001 as well as Australian Safety Standards AS14001 through accreditation provider Bureau Veritas. This long term association has provided the backbone for constant improvement and growth with respect to Quality and its implementation and management in all facets of the “Eilbeck” organisation.
As part of the accreditation process, regular audits, carried out by both internal and external parties have allowed Eilbeck management to learn and draw upon advice and audit findings and in turn permit our “Quality Management System” to evolve into the first level class system it has grown to be.

In 2009, a show of further commitment to safety for all persons and organisations who associate with Eilbeck Cranes was made when Tom Eilbeck, the man at the helm, committed to a holistic approach when dealing with safety. As a result, all Eilbeck manufacturing divisions are driving towards AS1401 accreditation with complete implementation scheduled for completion by Dec 2010.
